Do you belong to an Infertility Bible Study? If not would you join one? When you surround yourself with other infertiles do you find comfort or is it more painful? Are online supports different from "real world" support groups? Attachments:

I don't belong to an infertility Bible study but I wish I did. I tried to start one at church and was shot down pretty quickly. I was told there are a lot of small groups and that I should just pick one.
Being around other infertiles can go either way. It depends on the person/couple usually it is helpful and I find comfort in knowing there is someone who understands. Sometimes it is more discouraging (especially if they've been dealing with it longer) and they still aren't successful it doesn't help when trying to be hopeful.
I think "online" supports are different from "real world" supports, support is better than no support but a virtual hug and a person to person hug are different.

I don't belong to an Infertility Bible Study. I don't think my church wants to acknowledge the fact that there are women who are infertile in the church. While I am uncertain if I'm infertile or not, I would definitely support a group if there were.
When I surround myself with infertile, it's a toss up. I believe, we need to encourage ourselves. Sometimes, it feels like a pity party everyday and it shouldn't be that way. I hope I didn't come off too harsh.
While we live in a social media dependent world, I do see the need for face-to-face interaction. As Nille said, nothing beats a real hugs in time of need.

EndoMeBad, Yes!!! I completely agree, it does seem like a pity party. I have to distance myself from the online supports that seem to go there. In PWH the couples that have Bible supports seem soo supportive and like there is an unspoken understanding and compassion. I would love that.
