Have you been wondering if God is ignoring your pleas, refusing to answer "why?" What have you told yourself about His apparent silence? Does Job's story resonate with you? How? When you hear his outburst, how do you feel? What thoughts or feelings is he expressing that you share? How safe do you feel revealing those? Why? Does "Obsessive focus" describe your perspective on infertility? Might that be undermining your trust? Crippling your faith? Blinding you to God's presence? Can you envision shifting the source of your peace from what-you-see to whom-you-trust? What is preventing you from choosing to make that shift: Fear? Doubt? Anger? The need for control? What do you gain by clinging to a perspective that brings you no peace? Is that choice worth reconsidering? Could your infertility story possibly be about anything besides you? If so, what might that be? How does acknowledging this possibility change the way you see your experience? Attachments:
